Work. Unwritten. is an Australian workplace learning business built around The Unwritten Rules of Work—a standalone 90-card deck for conversations about expectations that have not been clearly explained.

Why the deck exists

Starting a job, changing industries or entering a new workplace can involve a lot of guesswork. The cards use realistic scenarios to help people discuss what to say, do or check. They cover nine areas, including time, communication, initiative, boundaries and workplace culture.

The answers explain useful principles without pretending every workplace operates in the same way. Local practices, roles and industries differ. Asking and explaining matter.

Who it is for

The deck is for people entering or changing workplaces. Employers, managers, educators and employment providers can also use it to identify assumptions and explain expectations more clearly.

What is coming

The core 90-card deck comes first. A facilitator kit, paid team sessions and a workplace review that produces a practical written guide are also planned. Organisations interested in testing a pilot session are welcome to get in touch.
